Let me tell you a story...

I've been marketing on the internet now for about 6 years, with varying levels of success. I can still remember the day I made my first sale on eBay, then my first sale on Clickbank, then Commission Junction, and so on. It snowballed, and I was hooked!

But then something happened.

I was so wrapped up in my internet ventures that I was spending ALL my spare time online trying to make MORE MONEY. It put a strain on my relationships with my wife, my little boys, and my friends. I was an addict!

Finally, one night at the kitchen table my wife threw up her arms and said

"I can't take this anymore! You're obsessed with your little online businesses! It's taking too much time away from US."

Then she started crying.

Something had to be done. When she calmed down and composed herself we talked for a very long time.

We settled on 1 hour a day, maybe 2 occasionally. That was ALL I was allowed to spend online. I had to see what I could do with that. I was strictly limited to 400 hours per year - and SHE would be keeping track!

Before I could solve this little problem, I needed to figure out what made this seemingly simple activity so complicated and time consuming!

Scratching my head, I closely analyzed the current process (which was "open the laptop and hammer away during every spare moment!"). Obviously that was unacceptable.

I looked for existing solutions and wasn't happy with what I found. They all added to my list of "things to do". I had no time for that.

It was only then that I realized I had to develop a better solution. What helped me was my profession! You see, as a technology professional I'm very well versed in "workflow" - which involves maintaining a speedy and efficient production process. I'm also very good at making the "technical stuff" seem simple - to translate a complex idea to a business user so they can understand it and take appropriate action.
